Glenn County is located in the Central Valley, in the northern part of the U.S. state of California. The county seat is the city of Willows. Glenn County was formed in 1891 and named for Dr. Hugh J. Glenn, the largest wheat farmer and a man of great prominence in political and commercial life in California. The county has a total area of 1,327 miČ, 99% of it is land and 1% of it is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 26,453 people, 9,172 households, and 6,732 families residing in the county. The median income for a household in the county was $32,107.
